What Is a Medevac?

Medevac, an abbreviation of medical evacuation, is a service that will send an air ambulance (either a a jet or a helicopter) charter to evacuate a patient from the area in which they experienced the medical emergency and take them to a hospital or other facility at which medical attention can be administered.
