This heartfelt drama about Lili Elbe, the first person in history to undergo sexual reassignment surgery, was shot in some of the most beautiful places in Europe, including France, England and Germany.

But it is the film’s depiction of 20th century Copenhagen which includes colorful buildings and cobblestone streets. This film has many itching to jet off to the stunning country of Denmark.

Brooklyn

Ironically, most of Brooklyn is set in Ireland, spurring wanderlust on both sides of the Atlantic ocean.

This academy Golden Globe award nominated film depicts the struggle of an Irish immigrant to find her place in Brooklyn, New York.
