What Is an Air Taxi?

An air taxi is a small commercial aircraft that, similar to a ground taxi cab, makes short trips on an ad-hoc basis. Air taxis do not have regularly scheduled flights and are instead available on demand. An air taxi can be either a small plane, usually with a single engine, or a helicopter.
