If you’re planning a vacation this winter, a private jet charter is the best way to get there. You’ll save on travel time by flying directly to your destination instead of adding time to your trip with layovers, waiting at the gate, and long lines at security. You’ll also have a greater variety of destinations to choose from because private jet charters can fly to smaller regional airports instead of only major commercial ones.
But where should you go? There are plenty of options, whether you’re looking to get away from colder weather or embrace it.
Lana’i, Hawaii

All of the Hawaiian islands have much to offer the visitor, from gorgeous beaches and surfing to luaus at luxury resorts and high-end shopping. The islands vary in how much they’re built up. O’ahu, which plays host to Hawaii’s capital, Honolulu, is more cosmopolitan, for example. On the other end of the scale, there’s Lana’i. Lana’i represents an opportunity to get away from it all. There are luxury resorts on the island, so you won’t lack comfort, but you’ll also be a lot more off the beaten path and will get to experience a part of Hawaii most visitors don’t.
Big Sky, Montana

Big Sky is a ski resort located in southern Montana, which is best known for hosting the Yellowstone Club, an exclusive skiing and golf community that is members only. Going to Big Sky in winter gives you access to 2,700 acres of land available for skiing in 100 different ski runs amidst the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains. If you become a member of the Yellowstone Club, you can return in the summer for golfing in the same incredible scenery.
Santa Fe, New Mexico

Santa Fe is a city like no other. It’s known for its unique adobe-style architecture, which is actually required by law, so the city won’t change its character in the future with modern-style buildings. Santa Fe is located conveniently in the mountains for skiing, snowboarding, and spectacular views. There’s also excellent food, which often uses Santa Fe’s local chilis. Anyone flying commercial often has to fly into Albuquerque first because Santa Fe’s airport is a smaller regional one, but that isn’t an issue for those flying on a private jet.
Key West, Florida

If you’re looking for sunshine and warmth in the winter, Key West is the best place to go. It’s just about as far south as you can go and still be in the continental United States. There are five-star resorts at which you can stay, some of them frequented by celebrities and politicians. Key West is known for its beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. It’s also where key lime pie originated, so if you enjoy dessert, then you’ll be able to find the best pie here.
Alyeska, Alaska

If you’re willing to brave the cold, Alyeska in Alaska is an elegant resort with plenty of skiing opportunities. Plus, it’s far enough north that you’ll have a chance of seeing the northern lights. Most of the United States is too far south to see more than a vague greenish glow in the distance, so it’s an excellent opportunity to view the splendor of the aurora.
