Ferry Flight
What Is a Ferry Flight?
A ferry flight doesn’t generate any revenue for the jet charter company. The term is usually used to refer to a flight that delivers an aircraft, either to a new destination, to a different airport as a new base of operations, or from the aircraft manufacturer to a customer. A ferry flight is different from an empty legs flight in that the aircraft is itself being delivered somewhere and isn’t just in between passengers.
