General Aviation
How Is General Aviation Different from Charters or Commercial Flights?
General aviation is a category of civil aviation that refers to any aviation that is not hired. Therefore, general aviation excludes jet charters and commercial flights. Because general aviation is private aviation and doesn’t have commercial or charter passengers, FAA regulations are often less strict. Any flights for hire are subject to much stricter guidelines by the FAA in order to protect passengers.
