How Do Pilots Use Navigation Systems?

Navigation is the process by which pilots plan, control, and record the movement of the plan. Pilots use navigation to successfully travel to a destination. IFR (instrument flight rules) and VFR (visual flight rules) both affect navigation and a pilot can choose to fly under either one, depending on the weather conditions.
