Gulfstream G500
Also known as the famous GV, the Gulfstream G500 is that last of a long lineage of business jets, starting with the Gulfstream I. Only the fuselage’s cross-section remains the same, as the GV is a result of many revisions and redesigns to fill the gap for a larger, intercontinental-range executive aircraft. A longer fuselage, modified wing, and new engines are the most noteworthy changes.
With the G500, Gulfstream strikes an optimal balance of speed, maneuverability, and comfort that helps passengers maximize every minute of their travel time.
The Gulfstream G500 stretches the limits of high-speed travel. The advanced airframe design and powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada engines give the aircraft a range of 5,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.85.
The G500’s nonstop reach connects distant cities such as Istanbul to Cape Town, South Africa; Los Angeles to London; and San Francisco to Tokyo.
The aircraft outdistances all peers above Mach 0.85, and it is the only jet in its class to combine incredible speed with a significant range of 3,800 nautical miles when flying at Mach 0.90.
The G500 blazes across the sky at a maximum Mach of 0.925.
