What Is a Propjet?

A propjet is any aircraft that uses propellers. Also known as a turboprop, a propjet plane has propellers that are driven by a turbine engine. Propjet planes are typically smaller and are ideal for shorter distances at slower speeds, where they can be more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient at around 450 mph.
