What Is Repositioning Time in Aviation?

Repositioning time is similar to positioning time in that it measures how long it takes an aircraft to reach the point of departure, but while positioning time is from anywhere in the airport, repositioning time is measured only to the runway from the departure gate. Repositioning time can be affected by a variety of factors, including traffic at the airport and delays, although when flying private, especially at small airports, the repositioning time is usually minimal.
