What Is a Turbojet Aircraft?

A turbojet is any aircraft that utilizes turbojet technology and are also known as propjet planes because they use propellers. The turbojet technology was developed in the 1930s and were initially used with military aircraft, but expanded into civil aircraft. Many still prefer to use turbojet aircraft over more modern technology because turbojet aircraft are more fuel efficient and are often quieter.
