Biketoberfest
Biketoberfest takes place October 13 through October 16 this year and is full of excitement, with some of the world’s best motorcycles on display and tons of fun things to do. You can test ride some of the newest motorcycles (as long as you have a valid motorcycle license), enjoy the bikini contest and fashion show, shop at the many vendors stands, and of course, enjoy the motorcycle races. The weather is generally still hot in Daytona in October, so you can also enjoy the bayside accommodations, the beach scene, and catch some rays.
Christmas and New Years in Daytona
If you would prefer to see white sand instead of snow for Christmas and New Years, check out Daytona in December and January. The temperatures dip slightly, but it will still be warm enough to walk on the beach and you may have to put your sunscreen on before viewing Christmas lights. There are all sorts of events going on every weekend through December and into January, including tours at the local chocolate factory and fantastic light displays in many different spots.
Speedweeks in February
Daytona is perhaps most famous for the Daytona 500, which will celebrate its 59th year this coming February. Race fans from all over the world gather in Daytona to watch new records be forged and ever faster and more impressive cars be unveiled. This year, Daytona Speedweeks runs from February 18 to February 26, with each day chock full of events and races leading up to the big one.
Daytona Bike Week in March
Daytona Bike Week in March is one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the United States every year, with about 500,000 people attending the event. This year it will take place March 10 through March 19 and will mark the 76th year of Bike Week. While the events have not been rolled out yet, there is no reason to delay booking your flight if you are a motorcycle enthusiast or simply like to feel a little adrenaline surge when the motors start revving.
