FAQs about Private Jet Charter

Safety

Flying on a private jet charter is much safer than flying commercial during a pandemic. In fact, because of the health concerns of flying commercial, many more people are turning to flying private. The passengers are only yourself and your own party, so you won’t come into contact with anyone else. The crew and pilots can take safety precautions such as maintaining social distancing and wearing masks when interacting with passengers. In addition, the cabin is kept clean in between passengers. If you have specific requests that would make you feel more comfortable flying, the crew will do their best to accommodate you.

The safety of passengers is our number one priority. Even though flying private means that you don’t have to go through the TSA’s security checkpoint, a private jet charter is very secure. There are fewer passengers, so private jet brokers can vet passengers at the beginning of the booking process. In addition, private jet brokers rigorously check the safety records for every operator that they use. In fact, the safety checks that private jets have to go through can be even more rigorous than those for commercial aircraft. Private jet travel is therefore just as safe, if not even safer, than flying commercial.

ARGUS is a company in the aviation industry that audits the safety of private jet operators, among other things. ARGUS’ gold rating is an internationally recognized safety standard. West Palm Jet Charter looks for the ARGUS rating of any operator for every private jet charter booked.

Wyvern is a company in the aviation industry that audits private jet operators. Their highest standard of safety rating is the Wingman rating. West Palm Jet Charter looks for the Wyvern rating and obtains a Wyvern safety report for any private jet charter that is booked. Wyvern safety standards are even stricter than those required by Part 135 of the FAA’s safety requirements. For every private jet flight, WPJC will obtain Wyvern PASS reports. The Wyvern PASS (Pilot and Aircraft Safety Survey) report is given to every customer as proof of the safety rating of the operators we work with. Both the aircraft and the flight crew have been checked and verified according to the highest safety standards in the world.

The FAA, or Federal Aviation Administration, authorizes companies to operate chartered flights in Part 135 of its regulations. However, in order to obtain this authorization, the FAA outlines certain standards of safety that companies must meet. A company that has Part 135 certification is considered to meet the FAA’s safety standards for operating private jet charters.

At West Palm Jet Charter, safety is our top priority. We adhere to the highest industry standards and regulations to ensure that every flight operates with maximum security, reliability, and professionalism. Our commitment to safety extends across every aspect of our operations, from aircraft maintenance and pilot qualifications to passenger security and emergency preparedness.

Compliance with FAA and International Regulations

All flights arranged through West Palm Jet Charter comply with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations under Part 135 or Part 91, depending on the flight type. These regulations govern everything from pilot training and aircraft maintenance to operational procedures, ensuring that every flight meets or exceeds legal safety standards. Additionally, for international flights, we adhere to guidelines set forth by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and other relevant aviation authorities.

ARGUS and Wyvern-Certified Operators

We exclusively work with aircraft operators who are ARGUS or Wyvern-rated, two of the most respected safety auditing organizations in private aviation. These certifications require operators to meet rigorous safety benchmarks, including regular third-party audits, pilot experience minimums, and stringent operational procedures.

Highly Trained and Experienced Pilots

All flights are conducted by professional pilots who undergo extensive training and recurrent checks to maintain proficiency. Our pilots have thousands of flight hours and must meet strict experience requirements. They also participate in continuous training programs, including simulator-based emergency drills and flight scenario training, to ensure they are well-equipped to handle any situation.

Strict Aircraft Maintenance Standards

The aircraft in our network are meticulously maintained according to FAA-approved maintenance programs. Operators follow strict inspection schedules to ensure all aircraft are in optimal condition before every flight. These maintenance programs include routine checks, pre-flight inspections, and in-depth evaluations conducted by licensed aviation maintenance professionals.

Comprehensive Pre-Flight Safety Checks

Before every flight, a thorough pre-flight inspection is conducted to assess the aircraft’s condition, fuel levels, navigation systems, and weather conditions. Our team also performs background checks on all operators, pilots, and crew members to guarantee compliance with safety regulations.

COVID-19 and Sanitation Protocols

In addition to standard safety procedures, we follow enhanced sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and healthy cabin environment. Aircraft are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before each flight, and crews follow strict hygiene protocols to safeguard passenger health.

24/7 Flight Monitoring and Emergency Support

We monitor all flights in real-time, tracking routes, weather conditions, and potential disruptions. Our team is available 24/7 to provide immediate support in case of any unforeseen circumstances, ensuring that all flights operate smoothly and safely.

At West Palm Jet Charter, we are dedicated to delivering a luxurious yet secure flying experience. When you choose us, you can rest assured that your safety is in expert hands.

When flying with West Palm Jet Charter, we want to ensure that your travel experience is as smooth and hassle-free as possible. While private jet travel offers greater flexibility compared to commercial flights, there are still important regulations and restrictions that passengers should be aware of. These may vary based on your destination, nationality, and current global conditions. Below, we outline key travel considerations, including COVID-19 protocols, customs and immigration requirements, and general aviation regulations.

COVID-19 Travel Restrictions and Health Guidelines

While most countries have lifted COVID-19 travel restrictions, some destinations may still have health-related entry requirements. These may include:

  • Vaccination Requirements: Some countries may require proof of vaccination for entry.
  • Testing Requirements: While many locations no longer require pre-flight COVID-19 tests, certain destinations may still mandate PCR or antigen testing before arrival.
  • Mask Policies: Mask mandates have been largely removed, but certain airports or private terminals (FBOs) may still enforce mask-wearing in designated areas.
  • Health Declarations: A few countries require travelers to complete online health forms before arrival.

Since travel restrictions can change rapidly, we recommend checking with our team before departure to ensure compliance with the latest health regulations.

Customs and Immigration Regulations

Even when flying privately, passengers must comply with international customs and immigration laws. Important considerations include:

  • Passport Validity: Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay.
  • Visa Requirements: Some destinations require visas, even for private jet travelers. We can assist in determining if you need a visa and guide you through the application process.
  • Customs Declarations: Luxury goods, large amounts of cash, and restricted items must be declared upon arrival. Failure to do so may result in fines or confiscation.
  • No-Fly Lists and Travel Bans: Certain individuals may be restricted from entering specific countries due to diplomatic, security, or legal reasons.

Restricted Airspace and Flight Permissions

Some regions have restricted or controlled airspace, requiring special permits for private jets. These include:

  • Sanctioned Countries: Travel to countries under U.S. or international sanctions may be limited or prohibited.
  • War Zones and High-Risk Areas: Flights over conflict zones may be restricted or require rerouting for safety reasons.
  • Environmental and Noise Restrictions: Some locations have strict regulations regarding night flights or aircraft noise levels.

At West Palm Jet Charter, we handle all necessary permits, clearances, and regulatory requirements on your behalf. Our expert team continuously monitors travel advisories and airspace restrictions to ensure a seamless journey.

For the latest updates on travel regulations, contact us before your flight, and we’ll provide personalized guidance to ensure your trip is both compliant and stress-free.
